Our final show for this year – June 24th 2025

  • 1. Scoil Mhuire’s own Jig composed this year by members of Ceol agus Craic. We are very proud of this composition and this performance shows the talents of the children of Scoil Mhuire. This piece shall hopefully be played over the years and we call it ‘The Scoil Mhuire Jig ’25!’
  • 2.The Marino Waltz played by the Murphys. We shall all think of them as we hear the Bord na Mona ad on TV!
  • Altogether now – The Rattling Bog and Maggie in the Woods, a firm favourite with Ceol agus Craic.
  • Thanks to all the instrumentalists and 2 singers. You all put on a wonderful show. We are very proud of you and will miss the 3 who are now finished 6th Class. We will miss you and thanks for your wonderful contributions to our shows.

This year, our pupils have achieved something truly remarkable through the Accelerated Reader programme — together, they read an astonishing 148 million words!
That’s an incredible increase of 50 million words compared to last year, showing that our school’s reading culture is stronger than ever.

As part of our Accelerate Your Summer initiative, we’re encouraging all pupils to keep up their reading over the summer holidays. Children can continue to log in and quiz on the books they read by following the link on the school website under School initiatives.

📌 Pupils who show dedication over the summer will be rewarded in September — and could even start the year with a homework pass!

  • View its reading level
  • Get book suggestions based on your child’s interests and ability
