Lunchtime Book-club

Our lunchtime book club kicked off on Wednesday, 9th October, sparking excitement and enthusiasm among students from 3rd to 6th class—so much so that we ran out of books! But not to worry, as soon as our avid readers finish, the books will be passed along to the next eager reader in line.

Our first book is the brilliant ‘The summer I robbed a bank’, by David O’Doherty.

Get ready for a wild summer adventure set in Achill! Meet Rex, a boy who teams up with his funny Uncle Derm to pull off a bank robbery. As they plan their heist, Rex learns about courage, friendship, and making the right choices. Will they succeed, or will things go hilariously wrong? Find out in this exciting and funny story!

Our book-club will meet at lunchtime on Wednesdays, in Room 14 , to read, discuss, and do activities based on our selected books. All are welcome. Come along for one book or all of them, it’s up to you! Keep an eye on the library noticeboard for upcoming books.

Happy reading,

Mrs E Walsh
