Cahal Masterson, a leading musician worked with Music for Galway and put together lesson plans directly linked to listening and responding strand of the curriculum for 3rd and 4th class and upwards. The plans were easy to follow exercises which work alongside a playlist of iconic music connected with childhood, which he had chosen. Music for Galway was there as a support as teachers worked through the two lesson plans. We started this at the end of September, working towards his live streamed concert on November 4th where we saw artwork and poetry showcased from the pupils of participating schools. It was wonderful!
